Why do the pollies get a cpi increase of 3% yet DFRDB gets .1%?
I suspect that the government does not understand the committment given when a person joins the armed forces. They think it (the committment) is no greater than their own. Little do they realise upon sign-up that an individual is offering their life for the country! So often in discussions by the current government the underlying implication is one of them and us when refering to armed forces personnel.
I am very impressed by the restraint displayed by our representatives in this (unnecessary) battle
