Speakers Spotlight

Dr Stephanie Hodson CSC

Mental Health Advisor
Departmnent of Vetrans’ Affairs

We ask our military and emergence services to do dangerous and hazardous work, so some will experience the injury of PTSD.  We have good first line treatments for two thirds of those that suffer this injury but we still need more effective treatment for those with more complex needs, especially those with multiple traumas, concurrent chronic pain or a moral injury.

The Stand Tall for PTSD Forum is an opportunity for policy makers, practitioners, researchers, and individuals with live experience to contribute to a discussion on how to break down the stigma that stops individuals accessing care and importantly how we can work together to improve this care.
