This Monday the July 27 is Korea veterans Day marking the Korean War Armistice in 1953.
The Corona Virus is causing new spikes and lock-downs, border closures and other restrictions.
And the commemoration services would have been cancelled or limited to small scale.
AQKV – Association of QLD Korea Veterans – is going ahead with a small service – local members and committee members of Korean Society of Gold Coast. (30 to 40 including the carers)
I attach the program that includes a song (Abide with Me), three national anthems and a message of Sangwoo Hong , ROK Consul General in Sydney to be read by Simon, president of KS of GC during the service.

I gathered that the time in Brisbane is 14 Hours ahead of New York, USA.
So the starting time of Monday 6:25pm In the USA in Brisbane would be Tuesday 8:25 am.
I assume we can watch it on YouTube on Tuesday 8:25 am.

13th Annual Korean War Armistice Day Peace Concert & Vigil
to be Held Virtually with Veterans and Koreans Around the World
on July 27th starting at 6:25pm (ET)
with the Candlelighting at 7:27pm (ET)
The 13th Annual Korean War Armistice Day Peace Concert and Vigil is taking place on July 27, 2020, Monday starting at 6:25pm (ET), virtually on www.Youtube,com/Remember727, to commemorate the National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day, which marks the fateful day the ceasefire agreement was signed on July 27, 1953. The online event will include a LIVE Peace Vigil exactly at 7:27pm (ET).
The purpose of the event, hosted annually by Remember727, is to remember the “Forgotten War,” to honor veterans, and to hope for peace on the Korean Peninsula and our world. From 1950-1953, the Korean War not only involved more than 1.8 million Americans, but also involved people of different backgrounds from a total of 30 nations across six continents. There will be a very eclectic mix of performances and showcases of talent to reflect the global scale of the conflict.
The concert will feature: “Forgotten Victory” by Ian Wagner from Operation Song in Nashville, Tennessee; Hip Hop dance and speeches by four generations of the Young Family in Manila, Philippines, including 98-year old Korean War veteran Max Young; world acclaimed Korean violinist Won Hyung Joon performing at the War Memorial of Korea, in Seoul, Republic of Korea; Colombian influenster Camila Sanchez who is also fluent in Korean and based in Cartegena, Colombia; Indian beatbox champions representing BBX India; Dan Reed, leader of an American funk rock band; “Arirang” (Pansori) by Maddilynn JY Ra, a 13 year old student representing Washington Sorichung in Virginia; and a closing song “HOPE” by singer Ace Kotevski from Sydney, Australia.
Special presentations will include a message from 11 high school students of the Hwarang Youth Foundation in California who helped launch www.KoreanWarMemorials.com; Elizabeth Venturini, daughter of Korean War veteran and author of Letters from a Korean Foxhole; anda Korean War Computer Art Exhibit by 13 high school and middle school students representing ComArt from New Jersey.
This year’s event will be emceed by Korean-American Emmy Awarding Winning Journalist, Sue Kwon in English and Radio Free Asia (RFA) broadcaster, Jinkuk Kim in Korean. The two moderated the coast-to-coast online event — the 70 Year FRIENDSHIP FORUM Commemorating The Korean War — which was co-hosted by the Korean Consulate General of San Francisco and Ethnic Media Services, and produced by the award winning filmmaker, Christopher H.K. Lee, to mark the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the war on June 25, 2020.

Remember727 was founded in 2008 with the mission to honor veterans and promote peace. The founder, Hannah Y Kim, spearheaded the historic enactment of the Korean War Veterans Recognition Act (Public Law 111-41), which was signed into law by President Barack Obama in 2009, and officially designated July 27th as a day to honor the Korean War veterans. Between 2017-2019, she traveled 312,100 miles to visit more than 180 Korean War memorials and thank 1200 veterans across 30 countries, including all 50 states.
